pick up the phone out of the blue and just tell the girl you are so proud of her. just on the spur of the moment for her to hear your true feelings, will make her very happy. i know it would if my parents ever told me they were proud of me!

In my opinion the best way to let her know that you're proud of her is to tell her but if you want to still do something i think it would be pretty cool to have it written on a scribe. You know like the ten commandments but Just the way you feel about her and her success. I mean does that make any sense?

I like the idea of writing a letter. Or you can go on a family vacation (I envision a cruise) and then as the sunset, reminisce on everything from her childhood to high school graduation to motherhood. You guys will have a great time together.

Ask her advice. Take her advice. Doesn't even have to be an important question from you. Just ask and heed.
This will demonstrate more respect, and give her a better feeling than anything else.
Happened to me. I was pretty darned impressed when my old man asked, and heeded, my advice.

Take her out to a nice dinner. Just tell her how proud of her that she has made something out of herself.
