Yes, I have bouts of depression that are devastating. I am on an antidepressant, but occassionally, it still hits me. The meds do help, as the episodes aren't as often or as severe as they used to be. I, also, see a counselor, in hopes of figuring out what brings on the bouts of depression. We are hoping to find a way to stop them altogether, or at least, find the best course of treatment.
I used to feel that I was the only person that suffered this way, but I have found that there are many people who suffer from severe bouts of depression. There are a lot of people on meds and/or seeing a counselor for depression. The most important thing is to find a doctor who can recommend the best course of treatment for you. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. My heart is with you because I know how horrible it is to try to act normal, when all you want to do is cry. The bad thing is that you don't know why, and everyone keeps asking what is wrong. They want to know what has you upset, and they don't understand when you say that nothing is wrong, you just can't help crying all the time. Please get help soon, it will be the best thing you have ever done.

Yes. Its called depression, and the Nation Institution for Mental Health says that over 20% of the population suffers from it.
I advise seeing a psychologist.

All the time - I get easily dissapointed with people and the world we live in and wonder what is the point.
The way I get round it is to look at the positives I have in my life and if you look around it's not hard to find somebody else who has it much worse than you and they still smile and enjoy themselves.
Hope you work through it.

Sounds like depression. It can happen to anyone and don't be ashamed of it. If you start to feel suicidal see a doctor and get zoloft.

Yep...sometimes I'm just sad. I blame it on hormones when that happens. :)
