If you know it, is it fine or not?

Don't know any of them personally, but if you do a search on Google or Yahoo, you'll find plenty of info. I found three Newport Universities:

University of Wales, Newport, UK

Newport University, Newport Beach, California, USA

Christopher Newport University, Newport News, Virginia, USA

You haven't specified where you are or which university you're referring to so my vote has to go for the Welsh one as it's the land of my fathers (well, mother actually).
