I think my ex thinks i like him because i've been talkin to him more than usual, and we've been hangin out more, how do i show him i don;t like him like that without being mean

Just telling him isn't going to work. Afterall, didn't you ALREADY tell him?
Until your ex-boyfriend finds someone else, anything positive could be seen as a possible opportunity for your boyfriend to get back together with you. You're leading him on, and I don't think you're realizing it.
Since you're admitting to hang out with him more than usual, you need to ask yourself if you actually don't have feeling for him. It sounds like you're pretty confortable around him, and that's not a bad thing in any relationship.
If you want to send him packing, then there's few easy ways to do it. You will have to stop hanging around him, and give him an opportunity to find someone else. You can't have it both ways, and it's not fair to him if you continue giving him false hope - even if you don't mean to do so

Just tell hom that it is over, or are you being desperate because you don't have anyone at the moment, and when you do find someone you'll give your boyfriend the flick.

Tell him. Its that simple. If this is not something he can understand you need to stop spending time together until you BOTH can heal.
