First of all for all you rude people, not all pits are bad they are trained or bred to be aggressive. My pit is very friendly and gets along great with my kids. Dont tell me to spay just because she is a pit when i have had poodles with worse temperments them her. Second of all i love animals and would not do anything wrong to my dog i treat her like she is my child, I am looking to get into breeding as a career not just to get fast money. The only reason i asked this question is because all the books i have read so far tell me either second heat or after two years so i wanted to hear people that may have bred their dogs opinion. So if you are gonna say something negative dont bother saying anything at all!! For all the people that are honestly trying to help thanks alot.

Normally the second heat is a good time to breed. She sounds like a beautiful dog. I love pits and am staffs. I used to have a pit bull and she was great. But since then, I have worked at an animal shelter now for 4 years. We put down more animals every week because they dont have homes. I know if you breed her and everything, and sell the pups, what says that the people dont want the animal no more when they get older. They end up on the streets and at shelters b/c they dont want them no more. We've had people bring in animals that they have had all their lives because they dont want them no more. That is a heart breaker b/c this dog doesnt understand y it is being put in a kennel and not at home. 99.9% of the time that animal gets put down b/c of its age. Pits and Am. Staffs' are hard to find loving homes for b/c people are fighting them now a lot. So be sure that you understand about what usually happens to the pups after ya get rid of them. Also, they breed them and more puppies are more of a problem. So, if ya do sell them maybe think of a contract for them that states that they have to get the puppy fixed so they caint have no more puppies. Please think about this, I cry all the time b/c we euthanize good, loving dogs that we caint find homes for.

I happen to agree with spaying. I adopted a Pit Bull from the SPCA and she is the best dog that I ever owned. However, I can go to the SPCA 7 days a week and see other Pits (or Am Staffs... whatever you prefer, they are classed as the same dog) and I don't agree with breeding them! The special handling these dogs not only deserve but REQUIRE is just one reason you should spay your dog. The other posts are correct about spaying. Be responsible and do the right thing.

Are you planning on showing her or working her or just breeding her because she has a pedigree and papers?
do us Amstaff/Pit lovers a favor and stop breeding your pets. If she was a show dog or competed in working competitions then you would not be asking this question. Instead you are in it for the Money because she is Blue. My Friend, type the letters BSL on google and then see how many towns and states are trying to and have passed laws because irresponsible people have breed dogs that have no business being bred which then attack people which then cause the laws I am referencing.
So do us a favor and do not breed your dog. Even the best breed dog if bred to a bad dog can produce unsound puppies.

Oh probably it is not any such well concept...I imply his Dam is registered AKC however his Sire is not? If his Sire have been registered AKC then he might were however he is not so all of it method not anything particularly. UKC isn't particularly a nasty membership however not anything just like the status and requisites of AKC. Anyway your puppy is not a registered puppy so it isn't important approximately mother and father. You'll be difficult pressed to discover a well fine feminine to reproduce with, probably convenient to discover a few now not so well offerings regardless that. And particularly the landlord of the stud has not anything so much to reap from breeding. The Dam proprietor might possess the muddle, maintain it and discover new houses for it. Do you particularly wish his domestic dogs left to the care and reticence of a stranger? I say do the correct factor and don't deliver a muddle of domestic dogs into this global that you're going to have very little manipulate over in any respect. Get him constant. There are hundreds of well Staffy's in shelters and rescues far and wide the sector which will not ever discover houses and will likely be destroyed, so please do not mistakenly upload to that unhappy, unhappy truth..
