SHOCKED AND CONFUSED!

I was shocked, confused, bewildered
as I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
by the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
who made me sputter and gasp--
the thieves, the liars, the sinners,
the alcoholics, the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
was rotting away in hell,
was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
And why's everyone so quiet,
so somber? Give me a clue."
"Hush, child," said He. "They're all in shock.
No one thought they'd see you."

Judge NOT...
Be kind. We're all in this together.

Well now let us see what Paul had to say on the subject... In 1 Corinthians 5 Paul speaks on the subject and in the twelve verse he says: It isn't my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it is certainly your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. God will judge the person on the outside, but the scriptures say you must remove the evil person from among you. Now then lets take a step back. Though it is our responsibility to judge others it is far better to take a more loving course of action that casting out the person so that we can be recognized by the world by our love. For this lets look at Galatians! It says in Galatians 6: 1-3: Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person onto the right path. And be careful not to all into the same temptation yourself. Share each others burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are to important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. We are called to judge each other to help one another not to be mean. As it says in Proverbs 27: 17: As iron sharpens iron so a friend sharpens a friend. This is the only way and only reason you should be judging people and you should be doing it. Good luck. May God be with you!

VERY wrong. "Judge not lest ye be judged" from the Bible.

This does not mean, however, that you should refuse to serve on a jury, for example, or in a chili-cookoff as a judge. God understands the idea of civil law (which is based on his Divine Law, anyhow) and just plain having fun.

Frankly, I believe that God is quite a jokester and knows all the best ones and laughs all the time. Well, shouldn't he?

Junging is fine, but judging is strictly forbidden. 'Judge not, lest ye be judged'. The trick is, Christians are called to judge actions. We are supposed to judge actions, not people. If you were a homosexual, we would be wrong not to tell you that we believe that homosexual acts are sinful, but we would also be wrong to claim that they would not enter heaven, or that they were not saved.

Well, I judge by the way you attempted to spell the word judge that you are not a good typist or speller, one of the two. But, no it is not wrong to judge other people if you are doing it from a biblical context.

By that I mean to say, if someone is claiming to be a christian and yet they are cussing every breath and drinking to the point they get drunk in public then it is not only right to judge them according to the scriptures, it also becomes our duty to go to them one on one and help correct them to the errors of their ways. However, it would be wrong to judge them and tell them they need to change if we are doing the exact same thing.

That is why Jesus said "why do you tell me of the speck that I have in my eyes, when you have a plank in yours". Just remember that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Also, to the person who is above me that said it would be wrong to tell someone they would not enter into heaven apparently does not know their bible. It is definately ok to tell someone they would go to hell if the continued in a sinful manner. Jesus tells us that when He says " go to the person one on one, then bring them in front of the church and if that don't work then do not have fellowship with them". He also says, "verily, verily I say unto you that NOT all men who say to me Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven". It is perfectly fine to quote what is scripture.

I take it you mean judge? If so, yes it is very wrong and according to God's law it is a sin. He tells us Judge not, lest ye be judged.
