I think you’re looking at a semantics issue.
Do Christian’s manipulate energy? Absolutely! Prayer and meditation are ways of focusing and manipulating energy. Most of us Pagans would say they’re practicing magick. The Christians don’t tend to like that term so I can live with saying they are praying and meditating.
Do Christians practice Witchcraft? No. Most people who have studied such things consider Witchcraft a religion. It is generally accepted that Witches do 3 things. They worship a Goddess (or more then 1), they believe in reincarnation, and they believe in the three fold law of retribution (what you send out comes back to you three-fold).
Christians worship a male God. They do the heaven and hell thing. And they believe that no matter what you do, God will forgive you without any consequences.
Not exactly the Craft of the Wise.
Hope this helps,
Pabs

Christians get very antzy when they believe that they are being accused of witchcraft. Before everyone jumps up and begins yelling "Blasphemy," you must first take a step back and look at the greater picture.
First of all, witchcraft stems back to the days of the old wise woman, who lived alone and knew the powers of herbs and medicines. Some practiced similar beliefs and called it Shamanism, others called it Magick, some just shook a stick and said words that we no longer understand.
In the end, it all boiled down to a belief in something greater, something more vast and powerful, that controlled things which we did not understand.
Do Christian's practice witchcraft? I would not go so far as to say that, due to the fact that their belief systems are different, but I believe that they delude themselves into believing that they do not perform ritual and engage in practices that are pagan-oriented. Most of the Christian holidays are based on pagan celebrations.
The sad part of this is the fact that many believe this is wrong or "bad" when, in truth, they have simply adopted native customs and beliefs into their own system. There is nothing wrong with adaptation and growth, especially in religion.

I think your question is falling apart with the inclusion of "all Christians." Not all worship saints, etc. Some do. And while there are similarities between occult, Christianity and other spiritualities, I think the resistance will come because of the implication that Christians and others "manipulate" through the same energy. You see, Christians are very specific in that all power is of the Holy Trinity. This is a very rigid and inflexible belief shared by practically all Christian sects. Most witchcraft or occult religions, are not so strict on the source of energy.

Most of the rituals and holidays in Christianity were 'borrowed ' from Paganism. They did it that way so it would be easier to convert people. I've also known Christians who practice transcendental meditation, which has clear Pagan origins.(Hindu is considered Pagan.)

Yes, there are lots of supposed contradictions in Christianity. Why do they worship saints? Why do they believe in relics? Why do they make pilgrimages to the Virgin Mary carved in a tree? And they believe in superstition, like if you're not baptized you can't get into heaven, holy water, etc. Plus they honor the Pope, which goes against the first comandment technically. I could go on.....

Christians by no means practice witchcraft - we wouldn't be doing God's will. All power you see through us comes from God.

People who practice witchcraft believe it to be a religion. I could practice routine sacrifices and call it a religion.
