The jaw movement in crocodiles in the act of chewing and devouring their prey stimulate their lachrymal (tear) glands and they appear to be crying, but, clearly, they are in no way remorseful. False tears in humans that are without sad feelings are called "crocodile tears" for that reason.

You're not really sad, you're just pretending. Crocodiles have glands under their eyes that water as they go after their prey, so it's as if they're pretending to cry because they're killing it.
