Can anyone recommend a good mandoline? I make homemade bread and butter pickles that usually win blue ribbons, but I'm tired of slicing the cukes with a knife.

I'd have to go with a Bron or Admiral myself, full stainless. For home use, the plastic framed ones are okay though.
For the best, find a restaurant supply company that accepts walk-ins. They are usually about $150.
