I think so. People have to make mistakes and have a blue print or a plan before they get it right. God kept Evolving and changing things until things were okay (I will not say good or great, because we all know that it is not), we still have much evolving and perfecting to do. God may be the ultimate mad scientist.

You are not too far off from the teachings of the Catholic Church, though your tone is more irreverent that they have used.
There is a lot of thinking that Genesis was a parable (a metaphorical story to explain something) just as many of those that were told by Jesus. The point here is that the idea of space, dinosaurs, even mathematical concepts such as a million or billion did not exist at the time the Bible was written. Why would God speak unto his people and tell them to write down something no one would understand? Wouldn't it be smarter to put it into terms they could relate to, and then trust them to gradually better come to know creation?
The evolution vs. creation debate cracks me up, because there is NO debate! God used evolution as the process in creation. Evolution is complex and fascinating and we understand so little of it. Well, duh! You think we can easily deduce everything God has ever done? Of course not because we are not God! Doesn't mean we can't try to better understand His works, but it is naive to think we know everything He does!

God said His creation was good and celebrated that on the 7th day. It would be against God's character to be an evolutionist in any way. Evolution is mad bad science. Evolution will not produce male and female on the same day or same age.

God is not an energy form.
Time and space are not constants.
We are a constant. It's the time and
space that comes and goes.
Creation occurs when energy explodes
and interfaces with Laws Of Physics.
Creation forms around genetic frequencies.
When quarks spin faster than the speed
of dimension, atoms solidify and form
what we see as time and space.
Space only goes in circles.
It's not really a final frontier.
Tomorrow is the real frontier, and as the
movie goes, tomorrow never dies.
There is no such thing as real evolution.
It's just energy changing.
I hope this has been helpful.

I've never understood how a belief in God's Creation and evolution had to be mutually exclusive. I don't think it too much a stretch to believe that God could design his creation to adapt to changing circumstances. Now that the term "Intelligent Design" has come about, wouldn't building in the ability to self-improve without direct intervention be an intelligent way to design something? Just my opinion.

First of all, we have to remember that it was 6 "God" days, which could be 6 minutes or 600,000 years. Secondly, evolution is a fact, otherwise we have no explanation for the way all animals, including human beings, have adapted and changed to suit their requirements and their environments. It is our narrow minded and uneducated brethren that refuses to see God's hand in the planning of evolution. It's brilliant!! Brilliant, I say...
Peace.

We must accept science with religion. To discount science is ignorance. The story of Adam and Eve is an inspired allegory, nothing else. This does not make the Bible less spiritual, just not literal. The Bible is a book of inspiration to help us through life. If more Christians would accept that, the world would be a better place.

Maybe the "days" are a relative measure of time...meaning, it could have been over thousands or millions of years. But I don't really know. I once wondered the same thing, but I don't think there's anywhere to find definitive proof, and frankly, I don't care about whether evolution is true anymore.

I have always thought that myself....he must have a great sense of humor, I mean come on why would he put a tree in a garden and then tell them not to touch it? He new they would.....he just wanted some entertainment that's all, he was bored. I he does make mistakes....if he didn't he wouldn't have flooded the earth to get rid of it. There are so many different religions....why? that's what I want to know....if there is only one God, Why so many honestly.

God is the ultimate scientist. He wasn't mad at all, except when mankind greatly disappointed him. He is the Creator of all of this we call humanity and world. Evolutionist? You really don't define it for me. Time is a relative term. I don't know what clock God uses, but it's ticking for us all!
