I'm the mother of a 17 year old daughter, and the fact that I haven't seen evidence of it leads me to believe we're still ok. You didn't mention the age of the child or the nature of the porn. How I would address and issue like this would be dependant on these factors, as well as the gender of the child.
I'd probably be a little harsher with my daughter than I would with a son, because boys have been looking at porn ( magazines ) for a very long time, while girls are just now realizing easier access. Again, depending on the age of the child, I'd impose restrictions of - of course - the removal of the computer and limiting the time spent with friends who have computers (also communication with the other parents voicing my concerns). I'd also take away the IPod and cell phone for a time, which also grants access to pornography.

First I would not overreact. Being sexually curious is natural. Didn't you ever look at porn? I think it is harmless and a rite of passage for all of us. If though it gets out of balance and they start to become obsessed with it there may be a problem. I would strongly recommend not getting upset and making them feel bad but be there for them to talk with you. Let them know no subject is off limits for discussion. Help them get a healthy attitude about sex.

Depends on how old the child is and how specific the porn was. At least, I'd ask where they got it...

Ask them why they were looking through my stuff.
But honestly-masturbating is very very normal.
And using a visual aid is something men/boys do.
