Well it a fair question, So Lets answer it in this way, Its a shame that people you think of this kinda crap and constantly live in a state of confusion. And all you had to do was do a little more reading to know that God, or whatever other name that you might used, has done away with incest, And it is clearly written as to why Incest was done away with. And yes incest is now a very bad thing and to commit incest against another means that you are a very sick person. And you should be put away. Now listen to this very carefully and maybe even in your sickness you can understand a little of what I am saying. God, now says incest is wrong for in this time and age the population is so great that incest is no longer needed. Now that is a direct quote from the bible. And now is a good time for those of you that commit incest to stop committing a crime against God, and his people so stop it now....... P.S. The laws then are not the laws now so stop it. And get help.

Nah incest isnt a bad thing per say its just that eventually if done too many times the child will have a greater chance of having a complication or deformity, especially the closer the relationship is i.e brother/sister. Inbreeding leads to an increase in homozygosity, that is, the same allele at the same locus on both members of a chromosome pair. This occurs because close relatives are much, much more likely to share the same alleles than unrelated individuals. This is especially important for deleterious recessive genes, which are harmless and inactive in a heterozygous pairing, but when homozygous can cause serious developmental defects. Also it is just seen as wrong in many countries and also illegal, besides most people are not attracted to their family members.

The laws against incest were not written until the time of Moses, thousands of years after the time of Adam and Eve. This law was written for man's protection, because as time passed, genetic mistakes began to multiply in the genetic code of mankind.
These genetic mistakes are far more likely to appear and increase if closely related people interbreed. In the days of Adam and Eve, there were few if any genetic defects to worry about, so close relatives could have sex and reproduce without problems. Not to mention, there would have been no one else to mate with and the human race would have quickly vanished!

God did not say incest was bad untill many generations had passed. The first two people (Adam and Eve) were pure, the body did not become corrupted untill much later. Besides, they were not brother and sister. Their offspring were still pure in their bodies and as they reproduced, the newborns gradually became more and more corrupted until God said no more reproductions between family members. This was as the world filled up with people, and the bloodlines were more diluted.

Yes, or no. The only way the world today with the people in it could B built was if Adam and Eve or the children that they made were sexually active with eachother. Do u think any of us today would B here if they all said thats nasty im not touching u you're my sister? Also they could've been sexually active with eachother out of lust or hormones

Cain killed Abel. That was not good. But it was not incest. We had to start somewhere. Inbreeding creates physical and mental abnormalities that don't necessarily show up right away.. Extreme religious groups who stick to themselves and who intermarry are always having problems with children born with all sorts of defects.
Do a Yahoo! search on Mennonites, on Amish, and on Pennsylvania Dutch. I am sure you will find a lot of bad news on health histories.

The creation story is not meant to be taken literally. Else you run into the silly examples of nonsense like you just asked about.
Unfortunately there are a lot of ignorant people who take the Bible to be some literal document handed down by God. That is an absurd idea with all the errors and contradictions in it, but their ignorance keeps them ignorant. Hopefully you will also not stay ignorant and try to interpret the Bible stories literally.

I've wondered that myself. I guess it would have had to be OK back then. Alot of things were different then than now.But if it was that horrible, no onw would be here today because it would take a few generations for all that brother, sister, cousin stuff to pass.
