Be patient. I had 4th degree tears even though I had an episiotomy. My doctor couldn't even reach inside far enough to sew up all the tears. It took 8 weeks for me to heal and not worry about having a bowel movement, I definitely did not want sex. It took a really long time for me to want to try again, I think it was over 6 months. For me, it was more mentally challenging than physically and it took about 3 times before I could relax and learn to enjoy it again.

I had to study this two times before I understood what you've been asking. i assumed she'd had your baby & months later, sill did not prefer to have sex yet now I comprehend that you've some strange delusion about having sex with a lady who's basically given delivery & continues to be contained in the hospital. not purely is it hostile to hospital coverage to have sex in rooms, it ought to also be considered a type of spousal or sexual abuse counting on the position you stay. it is likewise inherently risky to her. women are not meant to have sex for no less than 6 weeks after delivery simply by possibility of an infection. and that i'm not speaking about something minor, i'm speaking about extreme, 2 weeks contained in the hospital on i.v. meds & then having a D & C to scrape the bacteria out of the uterus an infection. a extreme an infection after childbirth ought to render her infertile. Do you extremely prefer to possibility that? now to not coach the actual undeniable reality that soreness meds do not thoroughly numb you. They turn off the epidural at the same time as its time to push & by technique of the time demanding artwork is finished, its wearing off. I felt the stitches the clinical professional put in regardless of being on soreness meds. SO.....why do not you extremely attempt & practice your self before you placed what you opt for above a persons' health & safe practices. And improve up, this does not grant you with the right to have an affair both, you jerk.

After her doctor's appointment. Usually 6 weeks

It may be a little longer if she had a c-section; those you have to wait for the site to heal and she may still feel pain.

So maybe 6-8 weeks.

doctors say 6 to 8 weeks. but if she has a c-section it will be a little longer. every woman is differant. i know that 6 to 8 weeks can seem like forever sometimes. but you may need to take care of things on your own for alittle bit. that will reduce your stress level and you will be able to be there for your wife and baby.

Dr.s usually say after 6 weeks but I would say when she feels comfortable without pain to where you'll both can enjoy it, don't forget birth control because you can easily get pregnant again.
