Love is not a rational emotion. Nothing about love is rational. Personally, I think cigarettes are better for you than love.
Humans instinctively crave sorrow, and love is the segue to one of the most sorrowful events that can occur in one's lifetime. Sorrow reminds us that we are alive. Joy wouldn't feel so good if it wasn't for pain. Love is simply an emotion.
People will treat you how you let them treat you... that includes yourself. I let other folks do all the falling in love. I'm not prone to falling anymore. whenever you fall, you have to land. Step back and look at it from a cyclical point of view, and the cynic was right all along.

I think in addition to the fear of lonliness it is fear of the unknown (what happens next?) and fear of being wrong (maybe this guy was a keeper and i did something wrong). Fear of the future (will I ever love again?) and the fear of being truly alone (is there no one left to turn to?)
That, of course is all smoke and mirrors. It is simply self doubt, exaggerated often by our mind and bad habits. We need to remember that the new is always better than the old. If the last one that left was good, the next will be great. We need to maintain control of ourselves - for there is no one else to turn to (even when times are good) we must always do it for ourselves.
Yes, love is the most thrilling part of this existence - from the physical sensations to the intense emotional highs and lows. We try again and again - and some of us are not content with the mundane, oh no. Some of us need the drama of a torrid relationship to really feel satisfied, and that is what they get. And when all is said and done, they weill say they had a passionate life and will be happy.
I wish you Peace!

Maybe you really love this person and yes when your in love it will put you on your knees begging for whatever you can do to keep the person you love you will know when it's time to let go or not. Put it in Gods hands and pray about it. I am going through the same feelings with someone right now my heart hurts so bad to think it might be over I might even have to be the one to make that harsh decision just to figure out if we are bettter apart or not. Good luck

Why is it, you ask? Because it's not always right. It's not always necessary. It's not alwasy rationally better, best or whatever. hurts both people. The fear of loneliness. Love puts everyone on figurative knees, and it's necessary to stay in love.

One of the hazards of getting involved sexually and emotionally with someone who we believe was sent to us by God, or who we think was sent to us as "an angel on earth" is that we often become over attached to them and have trouble severing the connection.
Most people think that they have found their soulmate just because they feel a strong connection to a person.
Unfortunately, that connection may not have anything to do with spirituality at all. It is amazing how lust can convince us that we are spiritually connected to a person.
The person may just seem familiar, because they remind you of someone else or you just don't won't to be alone or even share what you have with another.

because you can't help feeling that you have invested so much in your relationship, you always remember only the good times and because hope leaves us last...
anyway, it's always hard to let go of something you once thought you'd never leave...but don't forget, every end is a new begining.
each time you live a harbour, think of the next one, 'cause life is a journey, not a destination...
