I believe it is a bunch of crap. The Earth has been changing forever. If, in fact, us pitiful Apes can really affect this planet, we will only make it uninhabitable for ourselves, the rock will be fine. All Gore is an idiot, and you should read "State of Fear", by Michael Crichton.

"Oh yes! No matter what the government etc says: we have created the ozone which is allowing tremendous amounts of heat to penetrate the earth - creating total world weather criss-crosses (sorry, couldn't think of word)."

I don't know if you can think atall. The hole in the ozone layer has nothing to do with global warming.

The only disaster of incredible proportions will be a meteor impact. And if there was going to be one, scientists would know far in advance, so I think we're safe for now. Human caused global warming is a farce. People will look back in a 100 years and say, "Wow were they really that concerned about a 1 degree temperature rise in a century? What a bunch of sensationalist mumbo-jumbo."

Hi. Disaster for some, beneficial for others, changed for us all. The Earth as we think of it now is a very thin layer of water, soil, plant life, and an ever reducing number of animals. After the changes which have been set in motion play themselves out, and this has probably started, the Earth will still be the same. The coastlines will change, the weather will change, peoples lifestyles will change (probably for the better). The only event that would be a true disaster would be "runaway" heating of the planet. This is what we (humans) must prevent. Hope this was helpful.

The best way to deal with the effects of global warming is to wait for "scientists" to change their minds. I found myself very concerned with global cooling which was "scientific fact" in the 80's. Turns out it ws merely bad science and we were all naively thinking we could alter mother earth. We turn around twenty years later and go the other way. Global warming exists because the study of it creates grant money. If mother earth is threatened she will shake us off like a few dozen bad fleas. "Do-gooders" cause more harm then global warming could ever hope to do.

The Earth is going to be fine.

Modern civilization will be greatly inconvenienced. Borders between countries will change (Wars), Coastlines will change (flooding and death and disease) Weather patterns will change (desertification, drought and crop failure)

New opportunities will open up, trans polar trade and new vacation spots and viable agriculture where there is none now.

Rich countries will do okay, but poor ones are boned.

this will all happen over the next 4-10 decades, do it also depends on your definition of imminent.

The world is so ticked off due to our lack of respect to the destruction of nature that it's taking back what was theirs to begin with.

Nature will always exist! Even if that be a speck of a microscopic atom!

My quote upon quote upon quote: Nature was here first and will be here last!

Al Gore, the famed inventor of the Internet, says we have 10 years. Personally I have too many of my own problems to worry about to waste time worrying about global warming
