My mon won't leave me alone and treats me like a little kid. I think she's this way because I can't walk and have to use a wheel chair. How can I get her to stop smothering me all the time? I think I'm getting too big for her to help me in the bathroom. I ask her to leave me alone but she won't. How do I get her to stop?

Your mom is doing this because she cares about you. I understand that you feel somewhat suffocated with her constant presence and you should take the initiative to let your mom know how you feel about her being so protective of you. Do it gently. Mommies have a hard time letting go of their kids and in your case, it might be even harder for her to let go. Tell her how it is important for you to be independent and do things on your own, show her that you appreciate every little thing she's done for you.

You're very lucky to have a caring mother. I am a teacher and I see so many kids being neglected by their parents.

I sorry to say but your mother loves you and being over protective is her way of showing you. Your mother can feel its her fault that your in a wheel chair or she may feel that your suffering by be in the chair. But, with the bathroom satiation; have a talk with her an let her know how you feel with getting upset. If you have a family member that both of you are close to asks them talk with her but only as your back-up plan.

to no longer be rude or something yet first you would be able to desire to strengthen UP. 12 yearl olds that whine, get offended, or have loss of duty in many cases their mothers and fathers keep them on a short chain. so to be sure that your mom to end being shielding and start up letting you have exciting that's gonna tak some artwork. My suggestion: Do Your share, once you do your chores and keep the residing house in solid order ( despite if that's no longer your interest) this shows how accountable and worrying you're... you ought to start seeing the transformations in jus t doing that. Getting solid grades in school and doing what your mom tells you. confident that's demanding ( i under no circumstances can end speaking back to my mom) yet finally it particularly works. somewhat of yelling at your mom or arguing attempt to have a communication. This shows greater adulthood. you additionally must decelerate slightly it style of sounds like your attempting to be older than you're. i'm 14 and to tell the reality there is not any longer something greater helpful approximately being older only greater duty. Yeah.. it gets worse. So in case you do no longer start up performing greater mature now while your my age you will no longer have the means to have any exciting. Your mom will only keep protecting you down. solid success i'm hoping your mom will see the thank you to look after your self

How very fortunate you are......So many kids would do almost anything to even have a mother; let alone one who cares for them like your mom does. I understand your concern about not wanting her to be too over protective however, she is just acting out of concern.....She wants to make sure that your needs are being taken care of, and that you are alright. Have a heart to heart talk with her, and let her know that you love and appreciate her help, but that you are feeling just a little smothered, and you want her to have trust in you that you are able to do some things for yourself. Be kind, and loving, you don't want to hurt her feelings...Best wishes...
