The whole point of this excersise is to point out once again, that we would really benefit from taking this perspective:
A different viewpoint regarding our religious beliefs should never be taken as a personal attack. A mature way of handling these times when someone disagrees, is to do as Jesus did(regarding the lost sheep), and realize that the difference of opinion is not an attack, it is a difference of opinion.
A more effective way of responding would be to do as Jesus did when being tested by satan after fasting for 40 days. He rebuked Satan, sticking to a scripural answer. And even then he did so respectfully, perhaps realizing that even Satan could turn around and attain to salvation.

Why not try to answer with respect towards peoples viewpoints.
Just like Jesus did. In that way whoever believes they are right, would in fact be following the example Jesus set for us.

Ok, Cletus, I've been siding with you but now it is time to give it a rest.
Have a great day and just forget about these people :)

Jesus also said that whomever does not listen to you, shake the dust from off your feet. You're beating a dead horse here. Also, what does this mean?: "perhaps realizing that even Satan could turn around and attain to salvation." Satan definitelty could not attain unto salvation. It's no where hinted in the Scriptures that fallen angels could be saved.

I totally agree with you, as far as the lost sheep are concerned.

When someone blasphemes Jesus and says that He is not God,I don't get offended, or even go out and blow things up.

In order for a person to realize the truth, it has to be revealed to them, whether the truth being revealed is Good, or Evil.

That being said, I have "No Respect" for people's religious beliefs that glorify killing, destroying,or robbing of caravans in God's name, or treating Women as less than honorable humans.

I am not ashamed or diffident in speaking out against ideas that are not of God, even if people do get offended.

Jesus spoke the Truth and the offense was so great that He was crucified for it!

I have never understood what that expression/question means?
"Get your goat". . .
So - thanx for giving me the material for my next Yahoo ? entry!!!

By the way - seeing the negative input that your question has garnered (as usual in this category), I truly hope that you are getting lots of practice in - 'practicing what you preach'? Perhaps over time, and with lots of diligence, you shall be close to perfect in manifesting a persona which never becomes insulted or ruffled by another's disagreement with, or outright attacks on your beliefs, regarding supernatural or sacred.

Jesus already knew that he was going to destroy Satan, Satan won't be forgiven, for one he won't ask, and secondly he was perfect and in heaven with God, he knew the truth, he went against God. Jesus does nothing of his own initiative, but waits on his God and Father Jehovah to handle things at their proper time.

It seems you are a very mature person. I've not seen many people like you here on this site. This is what I was hoping this site would be about. Most people don't want answers, they want someone to agree with them that their sin is not sin. God isn't going to change his mind about sin. He doesn't care about what is popular. Keep on trusting in God.
