this guy i know says he got 90 days in the hole and I'm wondering if that means some sort of work program or jail or what? Can he leave base? can he accept visitors?

dudes in prison, that term isn't used anymore but way back it was actually a hole that was dark, and they'd put the person in it. Kinda like solitary confinement. Asked my husband, Active Army

90 days in jail usually in solitary confinement. However, he might be able to have visitors, you would have to ask the jailers.

It means he has been jailed. It should depend on what he did and what his restrictions are whether he can have visitors. I do not believe he can have visitors though.

Means that he was placed in a confinement facility after being convicted of a criminal offense.
