Ship me your rifle and a box of each and I'll tell you, or if you wanted to, you could take a box of each with you next time you go to the range and see for yourself. What works great in my rifle may not perform as well in yours, or vice/versa.

Depends on what you are hunting. The ammo box usually tells you what the rounds are recommended for, example: Dangerous game, etc.

Barnes bullets tend to be for heavy, big boned game such as Moose or Elk. They might be an 'over-kill' for thin-skinned Whitetail or Mule Deer. Ask your dealer.
