i think it depends on the condition of your teeth? my braces where about $3000 and my brother was $2000, his teeth where a lot more better than mine. anyways, it also depends on the orthodontist you have, because when my family was searching, we found orthodontist that charged from $2000-$5000

Mine were about $4500, but insurance covered $1500.
