Not that I would ever kill myself, but I feel like it would just be a huge relief to be dead.

it is normal to want to die.
this body came to you without your permission and against your wishes , unwanted and unasked...but it is here for a reason , a perfectly divine reason , and before you drop this body , you should invest the time to discover what that reason is , and do your best to complete your task...

Thinking it would be a relief to be dead is not normal, it is a large warning sign of suicide.

So is voicing this concern. I strongly urge you to speak to a professional.

If you are in immediate danger of hurting your self please call 911

Please Stop reading this moment, consult your local phone book for a "suicide hotline".

If you live in a small community and this service is not available please call your local police station and ask what services are available for "suicide prevention".

Suicide is a very preventable cause of death. It is a tragedy if you do not reach out for help.

It is not your fault if you feel overwhelmed. Everyone gets overwhelmed sometimes. It is okay to let some other things slide.

You have other options! If work is too much, call in sick tomorrow, take a personal day and go to your doctor.

If you family commitments are overwhelming you ask a family member, neighbor, or church member to help you while you tend to your health.

You do not have to share details with them until you want to.

If you aren't sure what is overwhelming you it may be anxiety itself that makes you worry about the many small things that bombard us each day. A doctor will be able to help you with either that, depression or both.

The bottom line is that you do not have to suffer! Help is available.

Suicide is not the answer. It will hurt the people in your life. There will be a hole where you were. Even this community will miss you!

Please take care of yourself.

God Bless.

No, it is not normal. It is more natural to want to live. Relief also comes in time nothing stays the same love. Except death which is permanent. If you need help in figuring out a situation, then see a counselor, therapist, trusted friend, or family member, if it is a chemical imbalance then seek a doctor. I am sending you a big huge, did you feel it? (-:

yeah....very normal....Considering that about 60% of the population will have suicidal thoughts at one point in there life, I would say that closer to 90-100% of people at some point in their life will have thoughts that dwell on death and the relief from suffering that death brings. These thoughts are normal, but what matters most is how you respond to these thoughts. Do you lie in bed at night thinking about death or are you able to move past these thoughts, take care of yourself, do good work, and enjoy life. If you are having difficulty managing your life, feeling sad, lacking energy, having problems with sleep/appetite, feeling bad about yourself, and/or just feeling miserable.....you may be dealing with clinical depression and should consult a professional....at the very least go for a medical check up.

Unfortunately there are many of us that have had that thought and I being one of them. Years ago I did try to act on my thought now I would advice against to anyone and seek help from a doctor. I can't say that life is a bed of rose's even to this day, but I know now that when I die I will go to heaven, and feel if I had succeeded in suicide I don't believe I would be in heaven. Of course I have no proof, but that's what I believe.
I also use to get migraines so bad the I wish someone would just shoot me and get me out of pain. So in my long story yes I have thought of wanting to die, but if it gets to the point of where I was, no it's not normal. Best wishes for you.k

I have felt that way a lot too, it just seems like at last there wouldn't be anything else to worry about, nothing that needs done, and all the complications are behind you. As long as you would never do it to yourself I don't think its so bad really. A lot of people get so hung up on being afraid of it that they don't live their lives fully. It will pass and get better and then you'll think hmmm glad I didn't go just then. As long as its just about an attitude you have towards it and not an obsessive thought you will be ok.

I think lots of folk do feel that way. But most problems are temporary, and being dead is very permanent. As long as it's only thinking...but you should still try to pinpoint your problems and work them out. Also do some thinking about where you might be in five years. Your problems will be long gone by then. Life might even be pretty darn good.

Well if you did commit suicide -- you'd be sent right back to do the same shyt all over again to get it right. You are dying every day that you live, so do the best you can make a difference in someone else's life if you don't want to make a difference in your own. Your day will eventually come.
