I recently filed a petition of dissolution of marriage to a man who received his residancy through marrying me and supprisigly he doesn't have a problem with contesting that. We only went to one interview with immigration. When I filed the petition I didn't ask for anything but now I think I deserve spousal support. My big questions are can I change that, can I still try to get sposal support and if i can, is their anyone out there that can help me with this? We have a date of August 16th to end this whole thing but I dont want him to get off that easy.

Who said I did something illegal? I married him for love he's the one who married me for his residency! I'm just angry about the way he went about it and anyone would! He waste my time and used me, always promising me a life together when all along he was the one who was doing things illegal. He doesn't deserve to be a resident under my name!

Because you began this marriage for illegal purposes you deserve nothing. Put the past behind you and become a better person now.

You are still alive; don't spend your precious life energy trying to get revenge or worry about what you deserve or don't deserve. You obviously deserve nothing, as you were committing what is an illegal, moreally reprehensible act.

Have a joyous day--go out and do something kind now.

I recently went through a divorce in CT. You can only "end this thing" if you are both in agreement before going to the judge. You can get free legal advice from the state....look in the phone book under government agencies and legal services. You can also go to the courthouse and postpone the legal proceedings by asking for an extension or telling them you have not come to a settlement.
Good Luck.

He needs to touch a legal expert. He needs to describe his situation to the legal expert and the legal expert can report the action for custody. they're going to evaluate that she has 2 different toddlers that she would be in a position to't preserve. From what you have written- I assemble that they do no longer look to be married...? in the event that they do no longer look to be married then she isn't his companion, hence- no spousal help might additionally be seen for her, and any relative of hers does not be taken under consideration whether that they were married. in the event that they are married she nonetheless won't have the skill to get spousal help with the aid of fact she has a job of her very own. new child help will in basic terms be provided if she is provided finished or joint custody (based on your assertion- her receiving custody is unlikely). if your chum is provided custody she will have the skill to be ordered to pay him help until he does not decide for it.

Don't get a divorce from this illegal without an attorney, preferably a female attorney. Your attorney should advise you about this. Borrow the money from someone, if you can't afford an attorney. Often times attorneys will let their legal assistants handle most of the procedure outside of court. Do not, I repeat, do not file and finalize all by yourself. Don't! I promise you, you will be sorry.

If you've been married for less than two years, chances are that your husband will get his green card revoked ... and then where's your spousal support? :) To get your permanent residence card you'll need two interviews at least ... one for the first 2 year period, which is a temporary card, and one to get the conditions removed after two years ... if you've only had one interview, your husband probably is in the first category ... so bye bye hubby, bye bye spousal support ....

The courts view spousal support as something you deserve...not just merely want. From what you have described of your situation, your chances are very slim.
See a divorce lawyer or legal aid in your community to see what your actual chances are.

Most states will not grant alimony anymore. In those states where you can get alimony, you must have been in a "long-term" marriage, meaning at least 15 years. Otherwise, you might swing temporary alimony for a few months, but that's it.

Ask an Attorney. It was wrong of you to marry him for him to get residency. They will look at that too.
