please answer some questions for me. u believe in scientific explanation, dont u? u believe in theories that were, in fact, created by men with barely any difference from u, dont u? u believe that the earth was made from particles which were, by ur beliefs, just there, for no reason? look at this analogy. if a man sculpted a clay doll and proceeded to worship it because he and some other humans received raises on the day it was sculpted, would u not say that he was nuts? there is little to no difference between that situation and yours. why do u think that scientists have no answer to where the 'first particles' came from? there are two probable answers. the first one is that the HUMANS that created the theory have died and the remaining living scientists cannot think of something reasonable enough to be believed by the public and themselves. the second one is that the 'first particles were created by something or someone that wasnt created. Those are the two most reasonable answers. Technically, unless u can prove me wrong, both answers are right. Therefore, scientific explanation about creation is ruled out. As Arthur Conan Doyle said,"When you have eliminated all other probabilities, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, is the truth." The reason why most people do not want to admit and accept these simple truths is that they want to continue their unruly and immoral ways without feeling guilty(even though they still feel some guilt). They formed up all the evolution and stuff to convince themselves (and u), that they are not going in the wrong direction even though in their mind they know they are. They want to keep up the bad work hence the phrase,' Hell cant be that bad; at least my friends will be there.' They know the truth but they just cant let go of wrongdoing. If the bible said that u could do whatever u want and go to heaven there'd be so many christians. But thats not how it works. U cant do what u want and go to heaven. U have to give ur life to christ. And act clean and well assembled for the rest of ur life (that doesnt mean u wont sin, no man can 'never sin', but at least u try). I didnt and dont mean to make a sermon of this. im just stating the plain and simple facts. U probably already knew all this anyway.

Christianity has had a strong presence for 2000 years and it will have a strong presence for thousands of years after you are dust in the wind. Constitutions, governments, technology, and countries will come and go, but the staying poser of the Christian Bible has a strength all these other lack. If that was not true, then why does it have a staying strength that is stronger than all I listed above?
If you say it's because people are stupid, then it is the people that run countries, or invent, or heat the sick and raise children to be winners that are stupid. Think again.

People don't fall for Biblical stupidity. They sometimes fall for the abuses of the Bible by people more clever than themselves. The thing about a document such as the Bible is that you can use bits and pieces of it out of context to prove almost any point you wish. All you have to be is patient enough and clever enough to find the passages that might be construed to support your agenda. My recommendation is to read it yourself, determine what, if anything, it means to you and make your own decisions based on that.

Because it promises a reward at the end of the day...

I wonder how many people would still believe if there wasn't a reward? If the Bible was only about treating others as you would wish to be treated for the pure sake of being a good, honest person, without promise of an afterlife or anything in return - would as many people follow it?

Good question. One of my favorite lines is from a film called Inherit the Wind. One of the characters says about the bible, "It's a book. A good book. But it's not the only good book. I'm a Unitarian and I believe mankind doesn't have the answers. All we can do is try and live a good life, treasure the earth, and be kind to one another.

Because they are afraid to face reality and they are way too sensitive to accept the world and nature in their cold and cynical form.
They need a fairy tale to keep them going and a chest-like divine being to put all their problems and worries in. It makes their life much easier and confortable.
Other people are actually respecting their intelligence and use the most of it, thats why people still survive, have nice life and die at 80- at not at 30 and drive cars and have technology.
Let them be...why so many children believe in Santa Claus?

Not stupidity --- but faith.
The bible is not for the world to interpret, but only those who have truly chosen Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Once you have experienced true salvation, through Christ, the Holy Spirit leads you into the Rhema (spoken word of God) truth.
At this point, their is no stupidity or contradiction in the word of the Lord.

Because they aren't educated to the manifestation of today and Christianity doesn't have the answers applicable to a new world. The return of chirst wasn't physical, it was his Revelation. The Return was through Baha'u'llah, and the1000 years of perfection is the duration of the Baha'i Faith relative to our time on earth. All the religions are in sucession of one another, like grade school.
