You should go talk to a psychiatrist, or a psychologist.

It is a hard thing to do, you need supportive friends and family. Also i would suggest, making a list of things you have done wrong to others...start trying to make right. Making those right will help you forget all the other things.
I am not talking some cheesy TV show here...i am doing this myself and as I have searched out those I have wronged they have not only forgiven me but we are friends again. Others have sought me out asking me to forgive them for the wrongs they have caused, although some hurt to fogrive, I still let it go. You have to heal.
Good luck Hon!

You need to learn how to forgive and move on. Forgiving doesnt mean saying whatever happened was ok, but its more about just letting go. Depending on what the issues are...you can go see a therapist, or join a support group. I have done both and they have helped a ton. If you have one close to you...I would suggest trying to find a Celebrate Recovery group. Its a group to help you get over habits or hang ups that you may have.

Out actions and consequences in the past help us form the decisions we make and the actions we take in the present, which helps us towards our future. So no, you can't really forget your past, you just need to accept it as a life-forming stage which helps you to overcome what you need to overcome in the here and now.

I'm sorry for the pain you've obviously suffered. Buy the book "I'm Ok, You're Ok" It's old, but there are many good techniques it there for helping people stay in the moment and out of the past.

Just get involved in your activities so that you are very busy and you will not try to remember the past.

Being honest with yourself and confronting ones past can be very traumatic for some people. usually professional help is required for those that are seriously effected. From my own personal experience I can tell you learning to live for tomorrow is what is important now. Leave the past behind you and try to learn from your mistakes. Life's experiences, bad or good, build character in people. try to remember this, "no one will treat me better than me, I am my own best friend" Say this to yourself over and over when you start slipping down that road to the past again. You have the power to change tomorrow, yesterday is forever gone.
learning how to build self confidence and being comfortable with who you are now needs to become priority in your life. Life is hard, how you choose to deal with it is entirely up to you.
Read the link below (entourages.com) title in the page called "letting go"
You may also want to check out Wendi at the link below. She has helped many thousands of people like you. If you can't afford her programs, wright her a letter and let her know that. She has a reputation for being very generous and has given away many of her time tested cures.
Being able to forgive yourself is difficult. I don't know why, but many people seem to enjoy beating themselves up over stupid stuff they did long ago. If you think you can't bring yourself to forgive yourself, or if someone else won't forgive you for something you did, ask God. There are no special words you need to use. Just try be respectful and talk to him like you would a friend. I guarantee you, if you trust him to take away the pain of the past, he will. Prayer time is essential. Allow God a minimum of 30 minutes thee times a day in prayer, and he will bless you with a peace this world knows nothing about. Be patient, let go, and let God. You don't have to be religious to know God like the world wants you to believe. Reading His words (the Bible) is important in order to let him work in you. Don't even think about reading the bible with out His help. Start with prayer first, once He sees your interest He will send the Holy Ghost to help you interpret His word. We are given a choice as to how we want to live our lives. Most of us get so rapped up in the things of this world, so we no longer have a choice. Learning to be free, truly free will set you loose from your past. Are you ready? He is.
P.S. CWP's comments above don't work. I've tried that.
