queeny,
If I were a tourist, I may tell you that it's good, Egyptians treat us gently and sharm, louxor and Aswan are amazing places ... etc .. exactly like most of the above answers..
but .. as an Egyptian .. (as u are) .. I think that Egypt makes its children to hate it, it opens its hand to foreigners and claps the Egyptians with the other hand ..
go to any governmental place and look how Egyptians are treated,
look at the transportation mess, even the underground became very sick ..
Egypt is like an old - ugly lady putting tons of makeup to make tourists come in ...

I love EGYPT!!!! Ancient egypt that is. I have always been fascinated by ancient egyptian culture, religion, language, etc. That's why the first college class I signed up for was Intro to ancient egypt. And since I'm a film major, I have a whole wall in my dvd room of just movies about egypt. When I went to visit Egypt last summer, the egyptian people were quite nice. I went to Cairo.....but Egypt ROCKS!!

Egypt is a beautiful place to see but hard to live in country side where is only basic standard. Amazing colors, space and size in everything. Interesting cuisine and no modified food when enjoying Egyptian kitchen. Two months I stay here living with Egyptians and nothing wrong about. Any problem on street makes big crowd. Opposite to Europe where people avoid troubles. When driving the car they present surprising understanding to another driver. I hope it makes to you a picture.

I love Egypt and love Egyptian people. They are some of the nicest most-welcoming people I have ever encountered while traveling. I have made many friends there. I love the way they are modern, but still hold on to their culture and traditions. If you ever get to Egypt, please go to real Egyptian places outside of Hurghada and Sharm and you will meet people who may have little, but they could not lead richer lives.

Hi! Just back from a trip to Sharm.. The Egyptians are starting to realise they are on the loosing side and want to be Westernised..They were clearly embarrassed that we had to have CIA type bodyguard's ( heavily armed ! ) on visits to the markets and the Historic attractions.. in case of Muslim fanatics wanting to attack tourists..The Hotel staff and the Egytian people I came across were very pleasant. It was sad to see so many poor children at the markets begging. It is a lovely place - dogged down by religious nutters.

Its awsome my relatives just got back from it. the stories were so amazing, and hopefully i will go there soon. you should go. its beautiful, the Nile, and the pyrimids, ride the horses if u visit the pyrimids. don't miss out if you get the chance. but watch out for the people that try to sell you things that are more then what the should be, (lower the price) because they make it higher, but otherwise i've heard that the guys were nice and helpful. the name in arabic is Ù
صر
they pronounce it miser, but the rest of the arabic world calls it maser. lol doesn't matter. but u should go.

I've travelled all over the world, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt. I've learned that you cannot judge anyone by where they come from or where they were born.
