I know it's basically about self deffence but I mean like rules, uniforms, etc...

American Tae Kwon do is not about self defense but point sparring and competitions. Other arts are more about self-defense, but TKD does not normally teach tatics that would be considered self-defense (eye gouging, punches, claw strikes etc).
As to rules...are you talking dojang rules? competition rules? Uniforms are pretty straight forward so what are you asking here?

I suggest Krav Maga instead of Tae Kwon Do. It is Israel's answer to hand to hand fighting in the terroristic world they live in. Krav Maga comes closest to teaching how to survive in the real deal.
