Well, it you are sure he swallowed it, then watch for these signs:
Is he still trying to throw up the bone, but can't?
If so, then he has it caught, you should check to see how his breathing is. Is it shallow, or is he "wheezing". If so, then take him to the vet ASAP.
If he swallowed the bone and is NOT still trying to throw it up, and is breathing fine, then
You have to watch him the next couple of days. If his appetite is gone, and he is not eating, and NOT POOPING. Then the bone has caused a blockage in his intestine or his stomach. Again, this means an immediate trip to the vet.
I would walk with him when he goes to do his business, and as gross as it sounds, look for the bone when he poops. Once you see it, then you can rest easy. Also, this way you can see if he is pooping or not. You must watch him closely for the next several days. (Also, he could develop very watery diarrhea
Don't give your dog "real" bones, they can splinter and also cause internal bleeding, and some times much worse.
In my opinion a rawhide bone would be a good alternative.

Some do eventually throw it up and sometimes others need vet attention over this. A dachsund I had once had to have surgery to remove a bone that had splintered in his intestine. So watch him for awhile. He may even pass it.

depends on the size of the bone. He could have it lodged in his esophagus and it may need to be surgically removed. I would contact your vet for possible xrays

You should get your dog to a vet!!! Bones are dangerous to dogs and should never be fed to them. They can splinter and do untold damage to a dogs internal organs. Please seek advice from your vet.
