It means what goes on here quite often.
A Christian person who is actually trying to live a Christian and Holy life for God should not continue to repeatedly commune and talk religion with mockers.
When you cast your pearls before swine, they will only trample them into the mud.

There are things that are given to people that should not be given to other people who are not of you own religion. ( even denomination )
Perhaps that is why I was writing an answer to a question and it took many minutes, it contained the sum knowledge of Christianity. Before I could sent the answer, the question was removed by the asker. I was not supposed to give that person the answer.

"Pigs" of course being a euphemism for people living a corrupt, fleshly lifestyle.

A sister said to me, "F*ck you and f*ck your "GOD". Her attitude and statement make clear 'not to cast pearls before swine'. This is why Christ came...to save those of us who may behave in that same blind, ignorant way. May Christ show us any areas in our lives in which we too may be hurting ourselves, as she most definitely is doing to herself and her family.

Do not waste good things on people who will not appreciate them. Jesus appears to be warning his disciples to preach only before receptive audiences.
