are you frustrated because you like us? *wink wink*
anyway, i think sometimes it's because of our upbringing. our parents come to US and watch all those TV shows, see all the black guys getting arrested, got scared, tell their kids not to date black guys. I think truly intelligent women won't reject you because of your skin color. I personally have no problem with black men. but then again, my mom is not a typically asain mom, she couldn't care less about who i date(or so she says). she says, "well, i give birth to you and that's painful enough. you need to think about who you date yourself." what i can tell you is, not all asain girls are like that. so, don't be frustrated and confused!

My sister married a white dude and we all love him, he's one of the family, so we not all like that. I honestly don't care as long as the black woman I see a white dude with ain't my wife, lol. There's a lot of self-segregation in the black community and an intolerance to outsiders. It's stupid, but to a lot of black men, a black man with a white woman is viewed as a sort of justice: something he's taken from "the man", while a white guy with a black woman is seen as a hostile intrusion into the black community. Sorry to say, but the black community struggles with progress too. The idea of "color-blindness" is something many black people expect of other races, but feel no obligation to live up to themselves.

Dude, I think it is your location, LA has tons of racial hostility. I moved from the central valley to the Midwest about 5 years ago. I have never seen so many mixed race couples in my life.
Think about moving to the midwest area. Try Chicago (more like LA) or Minneapolis (More like San Fransisco). It is actually pretty good here. World class cities, good nightlife, really diverse. Cheaper cost of living than the coast. The weather keeps all the flakes out. Solid economy...
Ha plus no rolling blackouts, my folks said is was 116 where they live this week and they had blackouts, had to use the generator for the AC so they could sleep.
Anyhow where I live there are tons of brothers and tons of asian girls. A lot of Hmong girls don't want to date/ marry in their race because it is so traditional the families don't want them to go to college, and they think they might like to. Plus a lot of them like the hip hop music. You could have a chance out here if that is what you are after.
No offense but people in LA can have bad attitudes, especially if you are looking for love.
Good Luck.

Brother...this coming from a sister.....when all you see is crime and confusion from the black race...it ruins it for all of us....in LA it could be the worst place for a brother to try and show that he is somebody. Just by looking at you, one can not tell if you are from Hollywood, or Compton, some of our brothers, with the crime and drugs, and the media showing nothing more than black crime, and blacks filling our jails, have given us all a bad rep for being a color of black. Just like with the low success rate amongst black men...most don't even want to ask...they just assume....Being with a black man into today's society, one can be looked upon as his Bytch,,,or his hoe...because with all the gangster slang in music today... In the music video's all it seems is black men go for is the trashy stripper type...and no one wants to be viewed in that manner.it is very unfortunate, but even if you are a good guy, and i am sure you are...many will not take a chance to look into you deeper...just by the Chance that you may associate with the gangster crowd....maybe if you would look at finding life with a hard working black female and not worry about those girls that find you repulsive,,you could show us black women that we do have some good brothers out there.....

i agree with you. i lived in hawaii for a year and return at least 2-3 times a year and get the same impression but i also get that impression from other races as well. i think most of it depends on the area that you are in. the more socially accepted "we" are the more likelihood of acceptance for dating.
