I've read a lot of posts about how the newest middle east war is a sign of the "Christian" apocalypse. But did you know the leader of Iran has a similar belief?

"According to Shi'ites, the 12th imam disappeared as a child in the year 941. The prophecy says when he returns he will reign on earth for seven years, before bringing about a final judgment and the end of the world."

Now that everyone is fighting to bring the end of the world, it might become a self fulfilling prophecy. Obviously though, no lord, mullah, or rabbi will come back for us.

Now does eliminating religion slow the end of the world or hasten it?

You need to study the "rapture" you speak of. It is not what you think it is. You need to find a religion that actually opens the book and teaches you what is inside. Not the kind where they yell and scream up in front of a crowd and wave the book around without even opening it to show you what is inside. Not the kind that is telling you how fast you are going to hell and then pass around a collection plate.

The second commign has already came and is through Baha'u'llah and the Baha'i Faith. When Jesus said he would return he was reffering to the Revelation of God manifest for the present day vs his physical body. The Revelation has returned and is Baha'u'llah and the 1000 years of perfection is the duration of the Baha'i Faith in relativity to our conception on earth.

"No one knows about that day or hour (the return of Jesus), not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36.
Sorry, the time is fixed and nothing you, I, or anyone else can do, will change it by one second.

I should hope it speeds up the Rapture. There's more than enough to keep us Pagans busy cleaning up already. Hail the mother ship and decamp, already!
