I've seen those too...the only plausible reason I can think of watching tv in the kitchen is if you had it on the food network and were making dinner. But, then again, what's wrong with the little tv's on the counter that have been around for years?
If you ask me, I don't want to be invaded by the tv in every room in the house....there needs to be other forms of communication in my life!

Having a TV on the fridge door is very neat! Let's say you're making supper and a show comes up. You can watch the show and eat supper at the same time in the kitchen.

Or if there is a cooking show on the Food Network, you can watch how to cook something while getting ingredients from the fridge.

You see, it is a very useful thing.

I saw that commercial, too, and thought that was just insane!

A friend of mine suggested that it would be good for following the instructions on cooking shows, but in that case, you'd need to cook when your favorite show comes on, and what about following your favorite recipe? You'd need a DVD player, too, in that case...

...Not that I want to give them ideas!

Personally, I'll listen to videos or the news like the radio, just listen. The living room TV is enough.

I just saw the comercial too and wondered the same friggin thing! I thought JEEZE! I would settle for an ice maker!!!!! On the other hand, you have people like I_GOT_SARS who would benefit by turning it on the education channel and learning how to spell whilst he is eating his twelve sandwiches a day....

OMG! i just saw the ad on tv for that. how crazy. first of all, dinner time, or anytime the family gets together for eating is supposed to be quality time. you might as well eat in the livingroom. and if you are watching tv in the kitchen, you really are not getting much of anything else done!

To watch the food network channel and cook what they are making at the same time, it's a good idea!
