I have owned several Toyotas and 2 Hondas. Toyota is my choice. I had no problems with any of my Toyotas, the Honda was good but not as reliable as the Toyotas. My last Toyota had close to 300,000 miles on it before I had to replace it. It was not because it didn't run great but the A/C broke, then the power windows stopped working, plus it needed tires and a muffler. The Honda had problems with the brakes a few times, the windshield wipers broke, the transmission had issues. Go with a Toyota, you will get reliability, great resale value and a car that you can easily get 300+ thousand miles out of if you maintain it. I dumped the last Honda with 155,000 miles, the cost of the trans was more than the car was worth.

I personally bought a Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt and am extremely happy with it. I've owned Honda's and Toyota's which are both great makes however its the first time I've owned a car for 3 years and have yet needed the car to be serviced other than changing my breaks pads and doing oil changes.
The Toyota Corolla is reliable and has a great resale value so they say, so does the Honda. The only problem I had with both models in the past is resale. So many out there, it's hard to sell them at the true value.
I personally like the Accord! Both great cars, why don't you pick the one you feel best driving?

The Corolla is a bit smaller. It's going to be cheaper and get significantly better gas mileage. Reliability is going to be about equal and will depend more on how well you take care of it than which model you get. Unless you have a pressing need for the Accord's size, I would go with the Corolla for its lower costs, both at the dealership and at the pump.

The Accord is nicer inside, and might be more powerful in the long run. But if you plan on keeping the car the next 10 years or so, I would probably go with the corolla.

Honda. It's more of a car. But get a year old program car with low miles and the remainder of the factory warranty and save thousands.

pretty much your choices are narrowed down already. now the choice is yours... theyre both equally nice. i htink the accord has a better resale value above the corolla. i believe the corolla has a little more head room. and i think they both have equal gas milage. your pick. good luck

Corolla. It's less of a thief magnet, and it will last forever with maintenance. The Honda will, too.

if its a noisy, undesirable knock the engine will might desire to get replaced/rebuild thats practically a promise reason it is going to on no account get greater effective will basically get worst. i had a chum who had 2000 monte carlo that had a engine knock whilst he picked me up and we've been given some a million/2 some time past to his residing house and his engine blews up! and over the years thats what's going to ensue to that engine. the only thank you to repair a knock is to tear the finished engine aside. so i might say stay with the van.. u might desire to have the skill to sell the van and get a used engine for the cav there to not costly for a engine for a cavalier because of the fact there are maximum of on the line. and that i take advantage of to possess a 2000 cavalier enjoyed it super on gas and massive interior the snow very stable
