soooo true! it is all about hating the US and Israel... Israel has every right to defend itself... it is being attacked by terrorist groups on two fronts... yet when they defend themselves ( even after calling Lebanon with a warning) they are the "bad guys".... amazing!... Israel obviously did not want to kill innocent victims... hence the warning... in the mean time Israel has not received warnings prior to bombs being sent their way.... Africans committing genocide or starving never gets the media attention that this type of occurrence does....the media is biased, and mostly influenced by the left .. and they hate America, as well as Israel....as also seen by their reporting of the war in Iraq... they don't report all the good our soldiers have done over there, or how grateful much of the population there is...instead they concentrate on only negative reports... the media slants the news in which ever direction they see fit.. Hezbollah was in that vicinity prior to it being bombed , and did what they have been doing all along , send out the bombs , pick up an move to another area... its Hezbollah people should be blaming for this not Israel or America!

I just wonder why some people close their eyes to the truth.
Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

Let's borrow a line from "Jerry Maguire"-- "Show me the money!"

I understand that is unfortunate to turn the other cheek in other world crises such as strife in many impoverished nations, but that is the bottom line-- go where the money is.

There just isn't any money (or oil) to be had in central Africa. One can use this line for the War in Iraq as well.

By the same token, for the US involvement in Iraq, why didn't Bush concentrate efforts in bringing a better life for Americans: like reforming health care, bringing jobs back to US, and education.

Now you want us in Africa?
UN forces are there.
How many forces do you think we have?
While everyone wants the US in all these wars, our soldiers are putting their lives on the line and leaving their families behind.
They are not martyrs.
Where are the other countries. Uk is helping but what about the ones that don't?
Stop putting the worlds problems on the US .
I am getting so fed up with this kind of mentality.

Two wrongs don't make a right. What Israel is doing is totally out of proportion and in my opinion barbaric. That being said,it is true that Africa is constantly neglected and we should feel bad about it.We are so stuck up with our luxuries and we don't care for the poor.Me included.I talk about them and say we should help them but when it comes to real action I do nothing.I spent my money on luxuries such as this PC and preach about values with it here while giving practical no money to ensure real change in the world.I'm a hypocrite and Africa suffers more as a result. We shut our eyes for their misery and morally that's despicable

probably if Hezbollah did now no longer preclude civilians from evacuating so as that they are waiting to prepare them as shields, whilst Israel factors them a warning to get out harms way, optimum of civilians does now no longer be killed. and that i do now no longer think of hundreds are being killed "each and every hour". And all I pay attention on the counsel is the worldwide coming down on Israel. The tragedy in Quna grow to be Hezbollah's fault. Cowards, hiding in the returned of girls persons and toddlers, to fireside their rockets.

Because people are fickle. They are victims of pop-culture and media propaganda. Your first example falls under the fickle part of the equation.

Media propaganda? That's evidenced by you question about Israel. Israel has been illegally occupying Lebanon and Gaza for generations and hardly anyone knows it. I've got no love for Palestine or Israel, but facts are facts.

we get involved when there is something in it for us. sad but true.
why Grenada?why Vietnam? US corporate interests.
Get a big US UK or Euro-Asian corporation to set up shop in your area and watch the politics and interest level including UN aide change.
or get a movie star involved.

I don't know if all of them were terrorist, but many of them supported Hezbollah and Hezbollah is hiding behind them. I wonder why more people aren't upset over Africa.
