the following is a link to a yahoo "question" posted yesterday. it is a direct THREAT against my husband.
YES ive reported it. has yahoo done anything? No...and WHY? ive seen some ppl get banned or reported for using the word Hell...or telling someone to "shut up". but THIS takes the cake as far as violence and hatered is concerned!
wouldn't you be upset?
my hubby (whether he supports this "war" or not) signed on that dotted line, and as such is doing his job. he may not like it, i know i HATE it.
but what give this guy the right to make a comment like this and not be accountable for his actons that SO obviously violate the Y!A code of conduct and rules.?

It is disgusting. Report it again. But this time write a real letter to the Yahoo corporate offices. Probably leftists run the site. It's likely. Aren't they in California?

Heck yea, I would have reported that. That was a horrible thing to post.
I think the thing about the war in Iraq is that when people say they are against it, people jump all over their cases, screaming that people who oppose the war don't support the troops. That couldn't be further from the case.
Hon, don't even trip about the person that did that post. People who do things like that have to be pretty unhappy with themselves. And don't give up on Yahoo not "doing anything". It's the weekend, after all. That post is way over the line and I'm sure it will be addressed.
My prayers to you, your husband and your families as you await his return.

I think you did the correct thing with the way you have posted your question. Now people can help out your cause by reporting this person for violating the community guidelines. I agree, the question should be removed because it ENCOURAGES people to hatred & violence toward your husband & all that support the war effort. It will be interesting to see what happens. Unfortunately, the asker of that question did not directly make a threat, however they implied & encouraged it, so they should be reported for this.

The guy is a butthead but I wouldn't categorize his comments as a threat. Wishing someone ill is not the same things as saying you plan to do something bad to them.
I assume there were questions posted by you prior to his postings that lead to this.
I'm of the mind that we should "support the troops" by bringing them home. Bush and company lied to the American people and are embarassing the US in front of the rest of the world. I do not wish harm on American troops but neither do I applaud what they are doing.
I don't think I am any safer based on anything that has happened in Iraq. On the contrary, I think we have just given the world a lot more reasons to hate us.
If he wants to get out his voodoo dolls and curse anyone he should focus on those who cheated their way into the white house and are now perpetrating these crimes against humanity.
I'm hopeful we can run those SOBs out of Washington in 2008 and restore some sense of sanity and humanity to our government again.

As far as Yahoo and this site, I doubt that any live body reads any "reporting". Can you imagine the staff?
It 's done by software and counts. Everything is automated.
I doubt that can be construed as a direct threat. Hate is very common here. As so much is displayed all over this world.
I tip my hat to your husband. If I were young enough, I'd be at his side.
So much bad info, so many omissions.
Records were found in Iraq that they had planned to export perfume to the US, with biological WMDs.

I agree that the comment was going WAY too far. I've seen people suspended for far less. That being said, this person will thrive on any attention you give them. The best way to get rid of them, is to totally ignore them. They may get suspended, but don't you think they'll be back with a new name? I know it's hard, I've been in love with a military man, and it's damn hurtful when people act that way. Good luck to you and your husband.

I'm guessing that the reason this question hasn't been removed is in order to allow people to see the responses. I think the responders have expressed clearly their feeling that the guy will get no support from anyone whether they are in favor of the war or not. I think it's good to let this individual see what people think of him and his cruel, thoughtless question. Maybe this will be an example to others who want to stir up negativity and hatred.

There are a lot of children with access to Yahoo! Answers. Unfortunately, the Constitution guarantees them the right to say whatever they think. Fortunately, we are enough of a civilized society that we know that this person is a moron.
Just pity the fool. He's an imbecile.

I have also reported the jerk who threatened your husband. I also noticed the jerk's at negative seventy points and is probably out of questions to hurl.
I wish you the best of luck in getting the jerk booted outta here.
This is the weekend and YA Team may be on short staff. I'm sure the guy will be booted by the end of business tomorrow.

I don't think yahoo has a very good system for banning or removing questions. I have seen alot of inappropriate posts and they are never removed. I don't think the person who posted it is actually going to harm your husband... people talk big when they are behind a computer. Good luck getting the "question" removed.
