Mercedes E200 kompressor, E240, E280, S280, S350, CLK200, CLK280 and so on..
BMW 730I, 520I, 318I, and 1 series and so on...

I am just curious and would like to know why it is that its not available here

they would make america force the rest of the auto industry to meet the low emmisions of these fine automobiles .

Because the Emissions are more strict in the United States then across the world. Most the European cars are Diesel engines and the emissions here are real tuff for the manufactures to pass.

Well, we also don't get Europe's eight dollar a gallon gas prices.

And it seems most American buyers feel that if they're paying German car prices, they want to get some acceleration for their money.

cause they drive different

my family from Finland is terrifed at how fast we accelerate, but the speed at which they accelerate would likely get them rearended here in the states

also, until recently, they had significantly more expensive gas

and they don't drive as far, here driving from NJ to florida is not unussual, to drive that far is unheard of, it is mainly local and no highway, so no need to hit 85MPH

even though we still need the bigger engine for towing
