I need to go to the grocery store, help me build my list. I don't drink, and I have 3 boys under the age of 8. Any suggestions for my list? How about meal suggestions?

Children can be fussy, and you should try to feed them veges.
Try this lasagne, they'll love it.
Frozen peas, corn and carrot and even pumkin. A tin of meat. Something like heinz braised steak and onions.
A jar of herbed pasta sauce.
Whole meal lasagne sheets. They're more filling and better for you.
Mix the frozen veges, meat and pasta sauce in a bowel and layer it onto the lasagne sheets. Sprinkle the top with cheese.

Or tacos. They're fun and the kids would enjoy making them.
Lettus, sour cream, red kidney beans etc.

Make your own pizza on a breadstick. Cut the bread stick in half, use pasta sauce for the base and use any topping you like. I recomend ricotta cheese or sour cream. They cook in about 5-10 mins.

For desert: Fun sized chocholate or chocolate coated health bars.

First take a calendar and write on each day of the week what you will have-such as tacos, fried chicken, pizza, spaghetti, beans & cornbread, pork chops, meatloaf. That is 7 days.

Then on a piece of paper, write all the stuff it takes to make those dinners, plus all the other stuff like detergent and paper towels.

By writing it on the calendar (and the kids can help) you will all know "what's for dinner" and you can take stuff out to thaw, etc.

You won't be wringing your hands trying to figure out something to cook after a long day that has drained your brain.

The staples would be:
Milk
Cereal
Potatoes
Mac and Cheese
Bread
Lunch Meat
Fresh fruit
Fresh Veggies
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Juices

Now, go ask your sons before you go shopping to help you make a list. I know they are young, but they will appreciate the fact that mom thinks they are big boys now and can help with things like shopping. Of course, YOU make the final decision on what to buy.
