I am going to meet the girl for the first time who my pals have found suitable for me to marry. So what should I ask her...so that I can know her a bit and decide upon my future life partner. I am an Indian and imbibe a moderate culture of a joint family. Though being Good looking never had a girl friend...So a little concerned..

Your best bet is to try and relx as much as you can and then ask her something like her middle name just to ease the air a bit and then ask her if she would like a drink,etc then as that all happens throw in some sort of joke (light hearted one!) then talk to her about what she does in her day,etc and then before you know it one thing she says in conversation will lead to a new question which will help ease you into getting to know her just take it slow if she is going to be your life long partner you will have ages to get to know her fully. Also one more thing try and find out her nasty habits,etc just sort of start up a question game eg:where did you go to school? Whats your best friends name? Did you used to wind her up with any bad habits like nail biting? I know that sounds strange but little annoying habits can become bigger when you are in a relationship

Have you tried the eHarmony.com section for marriage? I don't know how well it works, but it's supposed to help with issues of compatibility. Aside from that, I think the most important things to learn are does whe want children, if so, how many and when. Will she work outside of the home or be a housewife. What type of ideas does she have about money, spend it all and go into debt or something else. Finally, I think most important, are you both ready. Are you whole people who are confident and securt in yourself and do you both know yourself and your likes and dislikes? Good luck, I hope sparks fly for you.

Ask her to talk about herself and what she likes to do. Then talk about yourself and the things you like to do. Enjoy talking to her and getting to know her and don't decide from one converstaion if this is the right girl for you. Have several converations with her and get to know her well over a long period of time. This may be the girl you spend the rest of your days with, make sure you both like each other enough to go through a marriage and a life with each other.
