I think it's a spider bite. I had a spider bite a few years ago and from your description, it sounds like what you have, too. My bite was not from a brown recluse or a black widow. Regardless, spider's have a highly toxic bite and you should have a doctor look at it. My husband had a spider bite that became infected and he got blood poisoning from it. It's not something to take chances with!

If it didn`t hurt when you got it, then you probably got bitten by a brown recluse. the size and description also leads to the suspicion of a brown recluse. Go to the doctor immediately and dont put anything on it. Try to cut off the circulation of that area of the body from the rest of the body.

It could very well be. scrape a credit card or something like that across what you think id the stinger - don't try squeezing it or it might inject more venom. If it gets too bad see a doctor or if you have difficulty breathing dial 911 immediately.
A cool compress, but not ice, would probably help the pain.

If you "just noticed" it and never felt anything , that kinda worries me. I'm not a doctor , but i'm thinking maybe a spider bite - and hopefully NOT a brown recluse.
