I slowly started falling for him
we never slept together
he held me
kissed me stroked my hair he told me i was beautiful and i made him laugh and i was great
but as soon as i tell him i have feelings he tells me no chemistry
none but surely what we shared was chemistry
whats going on is he scared?

"No chemistry" is such a clishe to give as an answer to somebody else. Might it be that he has some other reason why he can't be with you but feels stupid or ashamed to tell you the real reason. Now he uses something that it might not be the truth. On the other hand, it might be that you felt something for him, but he didn't feel the same kind of enthusism for you. It might be that he got scared out of commitment, especially if he's young. Try to figure it out..by staying friends.

It really depends on how he kissed you if it was full on then yes there is chemistry and he maybe scared of getting hurt or ruining your friendship if things were to go any further. If the kiss wasn't full on then he was just comforting you as a friend and is saying there is no sexual chemistry between you. It is a good thing you haven't slept together as this shows he respects you. I would just carry on as you are for now no pressure and see where things go don't let it interfere with your friendship. love takes time to grow as does trust and respect. lust is instant and cannot last forever alone. friendship is priceless, Good luck.

Different people relate differently. First thing is the person you are with has to be honest with himself so he can be honest with you. What is he after in the relationship? Is he just passing time, or is he after long term. If he is just passing time, then, chemistry will not necessarily be there. But then we cannot really know. You will have to ask him for the exact answer and he will have to be honest. If there is no proper communication in a relationship, it can be pretty tricky. Try to work on the communication with him. No his not scared, he just likes the company of a women but his not in love with you I'm afraid......You've crossed the line of being friends even though you've not actually slept with him and you'll just keep trying for a relationship that's just not going to happen..... Move on Hun........Before you get in to deep and end up getting really hurt....

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Same thing happened to me. It hurts so bad, I still dont know what happened to mine.
I guess he's just scared and doesn't want to ruin your friendship. Maybe it means to much to him.
