My favorite of all is Foppiano Zinfandel, and with it, a grilled Tbone steak or steak-bite hors d'oeuvres.
The zin is a mellow pour, but has enough soft tannins to hold up to the steak without overpowering it. The spicy quality of this zinfandel makes it very drinkable.
Another favorite zin is by Frey - the northern California organic winery. No added sulphites make it the perfect dinner wine when guests have sensitivity to sulfites (Frey wines don't have any added sulfites) and they are vegan friendly too, as they don't use animal products to filter the wines. When vegan friends come to dinner, we serve a hearty tofu-based stew - really good with the zinfandel.
Both are yummy!!

My favourite white wine is R.H. Philips Toasted Head Chardonnay and it goes great with chicken dishes or creamy cheeses.
My favourite red wine is Ravenswood Lodi Vineyard Zinfandel. I generally have it with roast beef or a steak. In fact, if I'm cooking a roast, I'll cook it wet with about half a bottle of this stuff along with herbs...YUMMY!
I like a lot of icewines as well but they're very readily available here in Canada so I drink them a lot more than some people will.

This really depends on so many things. In the winter I love port wine. This is a dark sweet wine. It is great for cooking also-in red sauces or with beef broth. Taste great with beef meals also.
I also love Austi Spumante. This is a bubbly sweet white champagne. Taste great alone or mixed with orange juice over ice.
White wine or pink blush would be zinfidel which is also great to cook with. Excellent liquid for fish or fowl.

My favorite BOTTLE would be Le Corton 1962... That I drink by itself!
My favorite everyday wine would have to be Marrietta Old Vine Red #35. I like it with double glouchester, roasted red pepper, pate w/truffle, and olives.

Zinfandel -- Nice dark red wine that isn't over powering like many of the big Cabernet's.
