If it were a pool party or at the beach. Sandals don't allow safe movement for children. They aren't able to run properly and maneuver turns. Sandals don't protect children's feet from different elements such as glass or other sharp objects.

No I would put sandals on the kids for a birthday party unless it is a swim party... there is too much running around and horseplay.

Yes, Sandals keep their feet cool and healthy, it is perfectly acceptable to wear sandals to birthday parties.

It depends on the type of birthday party. For most parties Yes. But if the invitation specified that it was going to be a fancy party where the kids were suppose to dress up, then No.

I guess it would depend on what kind of party it is. Unless the invitation specifies a certain look, then let the kid wear what he wants. Especially during the summer. Don't you want to stay cool or would you rather wear hot socks and keep your feet covered up??

Yes but proper sandals. They will wind up taking them off anyway.
