My daughter is 6 and I can't narrow it down to just one thing. But the one that comes to mind that means the most to me is when she was 3, I was in a really bad car accident on my way to work one morning (I worked about 45 minutes away from home) and was pregnant with her baby sibling. The baby didn't make it, and I was in the hospital for almost a week. I was off work for about 2.5 years due to being in a wheelchair and going through physical therapy. Anyway, when I was headed back to work (the same job but in it's added location right around the corner from my house), my daughter started to cry and tell me that she didn't want to go back to work. I thought it was because she was enjoying the time that we had spent together and told her that we would still spend time together. She then looked at me through her tears and said that wasn't what was wrong. I picked her up and asked what was wrong, she told me she didn't want to have me in another car accident cause I might die like our baby did. It was so sweet that i started to cry to, but the explained what happened to the baby and showed her that I was going to work closer to home on a less traveled roadway.

When my son was about 18 months old, he was searching our house for Easter eggs for the first time. He was wearing a headband with eggs on top of springs that wiggled constantly. To a mom, that is cute enough.

But, the kicker is that every time he bent over to pick up an egg, he farted. By the time he found all the eggs, my face and stomach were killing me from laughing.

Then, there was the time he made me "coffee" by pouring the contents of the sugar bowl and an entire carton of creamer into the water part of the coffee maker. Or the time he "cleaned" the TV by squirting spray starch into it. These are only funny and cute now that he is 16! LOL

my daughter was about three years old and her and I would watch a baby story on TLC everyday. Well this gave her the idea that there was a baby in my stomach, even to the point where she started telling people. So I felt I needed to put a stop to it and inform her that there was not a baby in every ones stomach. So then she asked what was in my stomach and well I wasn't thinking to clearly cause I wasn't expecting that question and I told her that's where all your poop is. Anyway her and I went to the mall , we went up an elevator and she says out loud to the people in there with us...my mom has a bunch of poop in her stomach and I just about died, I didn't know what to say and I was stuck in there to deal with it. But anyway now looking back I think it is just hilarious the things kids can do to just totally embarrass you.

By daughter was 2 1/2 y.o. and home with me while I was building a TV kit, which took about 60 hours.
I had told her to play and or watch TV and not break my concentration. After about an hour, I could feel her slowly walking up to me partially from behind.
When I turned around, I saw her with a real impish look on her face as she held up her hands, one with the nutcracker in it, the other with two walnuts. 'Daddy, one for you and one for me?'
Of course I couldn't refuse...
When I recently talked to her about what she was like (she is a little older now!), and how I could just point out to her the negative consequences of acts and she would on her own avoid them, she put that same grin on her face she had as a 3 year old and said, 'Hmmm, I guess I was a parent's wet dream, huh?'
I couldn't argue with that.... ;-)

I don't have kids, but my nieces have done some pretty cute things. One of them, when she was just starting to walk, toddled across a recently mopped kitchen floor, leaving a perfect track of baby footprints on it, causing the uteruses of the college girls cleaning the house to collectively skip a beat.

The other one, despite being only two, knows how and when to roll her eyes, like when her daddy's being silly.

It wasn't my kid, rather one of my students gave me the nicest gift ever. It wasn't something bought in the store. She made a scrapbook underlying the entire school year with me. It was the sweetest thing I ever received. It's in my living room.

My daughter was around 2-3 yrs old. I was brushing her hair and I told her that she had "rats" in her hair so sit still. She started shaking her head and telling me to get them out of her hair. It was so cute. She's now 12.

My other daughter was around 3-4 yrs old. I was tucking her into bed. I told her "Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite" She jumped out of bed and wouldn't get back into it until I changed the sheets. She's now 11.

Touched me on the stomach and said let me kiss the baby. Of course I wasn't pregnant so it was probably more embarassing than cute. LOL
