1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Take the toll-house recipe off the back of the bag. Instead of white sugar substitute it with the same amount of brown sugar. Instead of butter you Crisco butter. They fall apart in your mouth they are the best I have ever eaten!

There's a good one on the Nestle chocolate bits bag.
You can add different kinds of nuts to it also.

My mom used to put chopped walnuts in them and I never really liked nuts in them. So I just leave them out. So find a recipe you like and omit the nuts. Simple as that.
