This study is one of the first to estimate the total impact of illegal immigration on the federal budget. Based on Census Bureau data, this study finds that, when all taxes paid (direct and indirect) and all costs are considered, illegal households created a net fiscal deficit at the federal level of more than $10 billion in 2002. The Center for Immigration Studies also estimate that, if there was an amnesty for illegal aliens, the net fiscal deficit would grow to nearly $29 billion.
Among the findings:
Households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household.

Yet you fail to consider that up until now and all this media attention the American economy was actually groing strognly despite these huge costs you say illegal imigratns are incurring. YOu point out all these numbers and surveys which are simply a mere over simplification of a broad, complex issue.

the highest cost is the employers don't pay taxes FICA work comp medical pay lower than legal wages. so pure profit for them no taxes for any services are available.
the illegals do not financially benefit from these acts.by employers . they have a bad job better than no job.
when a worker gets injured govt instead of employer pays.
slumlords also enjoy highest profits for often uninhabitable conditions and over crowding by taking advantage and packing em in.
there would be a net increase (not deficit) on local and federal budgets and living conditions if the employers/landlords reported paid the correct taxes insurances benefits minimum wages and penalties.

While this is a broad issue, the fact is that American taxpayers are footing the bill. Stop the freeloaders NOW. Don't elect bleeding hearts who pander to illegal immigrants.
Also, let's not even mention that we must be a sovreign nation for national security purposes.

Yes. And that doesn't even discuss the cost of a generation of our children getting substandard education in overcrowded schools where the funding we pay goes disproportionately to teach illegal immigrants and their children to speak English.
