Isreal just bombed an ORPHANAGE and killed 54 children
of course they're right and that's war and hezbollah deserves that
but do these children deserve that????

There are a LOT of idiots answering this question.

1. Hizbollah is NOT a country.

2. Hizbollah attacked Israel, NOT Lebanon

3. Lebanese troops have not launched a single attack against Israel throughout all of this EXTREME provocation, despite many of their soldiers being killed by the Israelis.

4. This is NOT a war between Israel and Lebanon, even the Israelis admit that. But they have destroyed the infrastructure of Lebanon and completely failed to do any significant damage to Hizbollah.

5. Your argument that the Lebanese support Hizbollah is the same as the argument that Al-Qaeda used on the WTC. SOME lebanese support Hizbollah. Some Americans supported the destruction of Palestine, the Invasion of Iraq, the Invasion of Afghanistan etc etc - that is the justificatin for Al Qaeda's war against all Americans. You people are the same as the Al Qaeda murderers.

6. The very fact that some of you are prepared to make statements approving of the death of innocent children in an orphanage on the extremely dubious grounds that they might have supported Hizbollah or could grow up to do so is beyond belief.

7. Lebanon had just kicked the Syrians out. Hizbollah, supported by Syria was on the back foot. All Lebanese now DESPISE Israel, Syria has more support in Lebanon, Hizbollah has MUCH more support in Lebanon - no-one would oppose the only organisation on the planet that is doing ANYTHING to resist the wholesale destruction of their homes. If I was Lebanese, despite being an Atheist I would probably be supporting Hizbollah now. Israel has defeated it's own stated objective of destroying Hizbollah.

8. Innocent Israelis are dying. So FIGHT Hizbollah. Far, far, far fewer Israelis have died than Lebanese. Hizbollah only attacked Israeli soldiers. They didn't start firing rockets at civilian areas in Israel UNTIL Israel had start bombing civilian targets in Lebanon.

9. WHAT HIZBOLLAH DID DOES NOT JUSTIFY AT ALL WHAT ISRAEL IS DOING TO LEBANON.

You people are sick, heartless and a disgrace to humanity. The very fact that ANYONE can justify the killing of children without any regret and even applaud it makes me angry beyond words. I shan't say any more in case I regret it later.

How can anyone support either country? Hezbollah may have attacked Israel- who REALLY knows why? But does that give them the right to pull something like this? I don't think so. I can't believe this is a question of who should be supporting who... I say they're both in the wrong. I don't think the Israel that everyone thinks they're supporting is the same Israel we have now. Israel and Hezbollah are BOTH extremely opressive and have committed countless crimes against humanity. Bottom line- if looked at outside the context of religion and strictly from a humanistic standpoint, both sides are wrong and both sides deserve to be reprimanded- not supported. Even Israeli citizens should be questioning both sides of this. Or do you really think that the "average Joe" on the streets in Israel or Hezbollah actually LIKES dodging bullets when walking home from work?

I'm sorry to tell you this but, innocent people die in ALL wars. The USA killed thousands of innocent people in Germany, Japan and Italy during WW2 because of aircraft bombing. (As did all the participating countries). I don't blame them though. They brought the war to us. We didn't bring it to them.......As for Israel, I think the Hezbollah kidnapped one of their soldiers first to start this whole mess, didn't they? And how do we know Hezbollah wasn't hiding weapons or theirselves in the orphanage?..........There is no such thing as a WAR STADIUM to put just the soldiers in and let them fight it out with no civilians or innocents to be involved. It always has to be in someones country and city to happen. War has always been that way and always will. Innocents die. Period.........How would you feel if you were kidnapped by some idiots in another country and your country didn't step up to help you out? By the way, why is everything always Israel's and the U.S.A.'s fault anyway?

You goddamned Islamists actually aim for the orphanages for the maximum emotional impact (called TERRORism). Flying planes into an office building full of stockbrokers (and several day care centers) would be a good example. Why don't you go tell your religious nut brethren to quit hiding in orphanges and come out and fight like men instead of scurrying around like the rats they are? Israel, unlike the godless muslims, dropped leaflets for the people to leave because the terrorists used that area to launch rockets into Israeli cities. By using that city as a launch pad, the terrorists made it a war zone and Israel told the population to leave, if they were so ignorant as to think Israel wouldn't, it is their own fault. The terrorists are launching rockets into civilian areas, not troop staging areas, and using their civilians as human shields. It is the fault of the arab terrorists, not Israel, when you hear the word "Terrorists", it is always in relation to the arabs, never Israel.
