There are two ways--by your words and actions!

Saying "I love you" is important to hear. When you do something unique and special for the person you love--something that they value tremendously, which takes planning and thought, it also says 'I love you' in a really special way. Both will work in synergy and completely indulge your loved one with incredible expressions of your love.

For example: I tell my husband I love you--every day. Sometimes it is in the morning when he wakes up. Some times it is a note he may discover in his wallet or pocket. It has become a game to us--finding out how I will say it. In addition to telling him, several times a week, I make a special dinner for my hubby--I decorate the plate (like in fancy restaurants) and serve the food he really loves. I work too, so this takes effort and energy. It is a way I express my love--beyond words. My special meals makes him look forward to coming home.

You do not have to do the exact thing I do, just find very special ways you can express your love both verbally and with your actions.

There are many ways to tell someone you love them. Leave a card or love note on the pillow. Put a love note in the brief case or lunch box/bag. Send flowers to work. Whisper in the ear. Cook a special meal. Write I love you on a fortune and put it in a cookie. Write it on the bathroom mirror. Kiss at red lights. Put candy or a little treat in the lunch. Share a kiss and a sunset. It doesn't have to be a lot--just show that you care.

The easy part is telling them. How? You get her/his undivided attention then say.... I.... Love.... you. Not so difficult now is it. Now for the hard part. It's easy to say I love you but harder to prove it. Actions speak louder than words. The words are necessary and wonderful to hear this is true. But if you can't show love then these words are nothing but pretty words and become meaningless. Be sure you can back these words up with honest and true action before committing yourself.

Love is a feeling. They will know by the way you treat them. Just coming out and saying it is the BEST thing to do. But if you feel like you want to tell them try not to worry about what they are going to say or think just say what is on your mind and what you want him/her to know. (BUT MAKE SURE YOU LOVE YOURSELF FIRST!!) And let the answer or response you get motivate you because it is easy to love and hurt but harder to get hurt by love.

Presumably (because this is listed under dining out in Chicago) take him/her to a nice romantic candle-light dinner and tell him/her that you love him/her
