Geez ppl are nuts with their home remedies that don't work. White toothpaste dabbed on stops itching and draws the poison out of the insect bites. Works on acne and blackheads too.

I have a chigger bite on the back of my leg right now and OMG it itches SO bad...but I found a way to stop itching it. :) Go to your nearest drug store or wal mart, and go to the section that has healing creams and ointments. A+D ointment works VERY well and heals it quickly by helping fight off the stuff making you itchy. Put some of the oinment on the bites and put a bandaid on there. I've learned that bites are just like those annoying people at school; The more you ignore them, the more they'll leave you alone. It's all mind over matter. Now if you can't do that...Then just stick some oven mitts on your hands and you're good to go :) lol works for me!

There is a product called Caladryl - it is a combination of calamine lotion and benadryl. Calamine will soothe the itch and the benadryl will help stop the reaction that causes the itch. Put it in according to the directions (every few hours) and you should be much more comfortable.

There are two kinds, the pink version (which looks like traditional calamine lotion) and a Caladryl clear version that is much less unattractive and doesn't stain clothes. You can find it at any drugstore/pharmacy/corporate Mart.

This is going to sound really weird but believe me it works!

Put your fingernail in the middle of the bites and press down.
Keep pressing for about 3 seconds then let go.
It helps for about an hour

Hey its better than itching.

Amonia. They sell it in a pen thing for bug bites, but you can use the stuff under the counter with a q-tip.

Go to the drugstore and get hydrocortosone cream. It does the job.

Try putting a baking soda and water mixture on it, or try taking some benadryl or using calomine lotion.
