I suspect if she lived in America she would be in jeans and T-shirt, and so would Joseph (Joe, to his friends), Jesus, and all the rest of the kids.
Joe, and a few intimate family members, would be the only ones who would know the truth about Mary's pregnancy with Jesus, but with marriage as it is today, I doubt anyone would give it a second thought. They'd just figure Mary and Joe got married shortly after they found out that son #1 was on the way. The shepherds who saw the angels, and the wise men who followed the star would just be seen as weird, sort of like those people who claim they've been abducted by UFOs. I'm sure "science" would have a natural explanation for both of these phenomena.
I'm sure they'd figure out a way to explain each and every miracle He does, too...from changing water to wine, to rising from His grave.

I'd go with tight blue jeans and leather riding chaps, wearing a sleeveless Harley-Davidson jacket for a shirt, a spike-collar and some 0-gauge earings. She'd have her nose peirced and a few other areas done as well. A dragon tattoo on her arm and we can't forget the combat boots... and instead of riding a donkey, she'd be on the back of a chopper cruising down the highway.

Sadly she would be critisized by those who follow her sons teaching. Not all of them, but a good portion of them.
Religion is an identity crutch. If people can't identify with something then they critisize it before they accept. I wish it were the other way around.

I am sure she would dress modestly, not revealing her shape or dressing to attract attention to herself, and according to the customary dress of the culture of the geographic locale of her home.

Mary would be a cool lady these days & I suspect that we wouldn't recognize her. She would look like everyone. She was a very hip lady back in her own time.

She probably would be most comfortable in her native dress... but like those from other countries when they visit other lands, she would mostlikly dress apropriate to the ocasion.
