hello about abortion again....?

i was just noticing that the #1 reason people agree with abortion is that its the womans body..well thats true BUT does that give a man the right to go out and rape a girl?..after all its his body.of course not.and what about the men that wont the baby?.were is the justice for them?.for those of you that use the excuse that you couldn't deal with rape.i would find it easier to tell the child that i loved them no matter what happend to bring him in this world, then to have a later child find out or explain to them that i killed there sibling and have them ask why it wasnt them.and as for not being able to take care of them.there is nothing that God can't help no matter how hopeless it seems! i challange any one to stand there during an abortion and reasimble the body of a child that has been ripped apart or to hold an abortied baby thats been scalded to death with a saline solution while it struggles to take its last breath.its so sad that an unborn child has more since then some adults

I too definitely disagree about abortion, no matter what reason it is. When a couple goes intimate with one another it is a responsibilty that has to be faced as a result of the act they did. It is their decision to have sex, they should be brave enough to stand up for their actions. In rape cases, an innocent baby is not suppposed to pay for the crime of another person. They too are victims of the situation. Let the child live, life is a very special gift that no man has a right to take away it.

Your statements are totally moronic, and you have NOT done extensive research. If you had, you would know that the Saline method is not used anymore. Since it was only used in late-term abortions, and those abortions were outlawed years ago, the saline is no longer used.

You bring up "what if the man wants the baby" ... well, he either has not shown that he wants to be a father, or the mother does not feel that this man should be allowed to be a father.

As for rape, abortion should always be an option. In fact, I think it should be required. NO ONE should have to deal with a pregnancy that resulted from the worst violence and violation that can happen to a woman. Also, incest occurs. Even though it has been proven over and over again that mental and physical deformities can result in children created in incest, do you think those children should be born? NO they should not. No child should grow up knowing that their grandfather/brother/uncle is also their father.

This is not a black-and-white issue. The shades of gray are dizzying.

i would never get an abortion for myself; however, that's my personal decision and no one should make it for me. that also means that i don't have the right to make that decision for someone else. i can't force someone else not to get an abortion just like i wouldn't want to be forced to get one. there's also the fact that some babie are not given up for adoption for whatever reason and they are made to suffer horribly due to abuse, neglect, or maybe the mother has good intentions but she just can't give her baby the best life possible because she's either too young, doesn't have a good job or the one she does have is not good enough. the thing is, the baby will be marginalized right along with her and the cycle of poverty will continue. i agree that fathers should have a say so on whether or not to let the mother get an abortion. he, however, should be able to take care of that child emotionally and financially or in the case of teenage fathers, at least have someone older willing to help out. the thing is , there are no easy answers and while i think abortions are horrible, i think a lifetime of abuse is even worse. the best thing to do is not get in a position where u have to make that sort of difficult decision by having sex responsibly and thinking about the consequences of what u're doing. or even better yet, not having sex at all until u're mature enough to firmly grasp what u're doing.

I agree that abortions are wrong. I believe that the father should also have a say so in that unborns life because he helped make it and really there is no excuse for an abortion because there are plenty of people out there that are unable to have children that desparately want them that would probably be more than willing to adopt an unwanted child and care for them. I would rather see someone put their child up for adoption rather than seeing them get an abortion. BUT...I have NEVER been in that situation before, nor was it ever my decision to make. It's only my opinion.
I WOULD get an abortion if a pregnancy ever resulted from a rape though. That child is going to come looking for you years later, asking all kinds of questions. And what are you going to say? "Oh, I'm sorry. I was raped. I never wanted you. You're father (who I never knew in the first place) is in jail. I have no idea where he is." Do you have any idea how that child is going to feel? That child is going to feel unwanted and terrible about his/herself! Is that what you'd want? Not to mention the fact the resentment you may feel towards this person because he/she may remind you of this man that raped you years earlier. The question is not what is the correct decision. The question is whether anyone should impose that decision and make it for someone else. If a woman chooses to abort her baby, she will live with that decision for the rest of her life, but it is her decision to make.

Personally, I think adoption is a wonderful alternative to abortion, but I know that should abortion be outlawed, women will return to using coathangers to abort their own babies. Given the choice of women having abortions in clinics under doctor supervision or abortion via coathanger, I will take the supervised abortion any day. People with 'sense' understand that outlawing abortion will not stop it.
