I mean, the whole situation in the middle east is a perfect set-up for the end-times. If God might be wrapping up the world in this mess between nations, isn't that a cause for christians to rejoice? this world is about to end, and at the horizon is another World that God made. I'm not saying that this time is absolutely the end, but it could be.

Very much so, all the misery, bribable, corrupted, corruptible, debased, depraved, dirty, dishonest, immoral, imperfect, perverse, perverted, rotten, sneaky, sordid, underhand, underhanded, unscrupulous, dishonest, dishonorable, unlawful, will no longer exist.

GOD IS NOT GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH, THE EARTH SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WILL BECOME A GARDEN OF EDEN OR PARADISE WHERE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE & SECURITY.

ARMAGEDDON IS SIMPLY HIS WAR TO CLEAN THE EARTH OF WICKED PEOPLE & ALL BAD THINGS THAT EXIST, & PEOPLE WHOSE WORSHIP IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM.

Why, though, would God wage a global war? Armageddon is closely related to one of his cardinal qualities, justice. The Bible declares: “God is a lover of justice.” (Psalm 37:28) He has seen all the acts of injustice perpetrated during man’s history. This naturally provokes his righteous displeasure. Thus, he has appointed his Son to wage a just war in order to do away with this entire wicked system.

Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherever they may be on earth, will be preserved. ) And only he has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation.—Revelation 4:11.

What about survivors? Indeed, no one needs to perish at Armageddon. The apostle Peter observed: “God . . . does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) And the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”—1 Timothy 2:4.

Consider the good Har–Magedon promises to achieve—godly humanity’s peaceful future on this planet, no more pollution, no more war, no more poverty, no more disease or even death. God promises: “Look! I am making all things new.”—Revelation 21:3-5.

This is the same line of thought that brings Osama Bin Laden joy when a plane crashes into a skyscraper. Surely since the Quran says infidels must die that must be a good thing.

What scares me is that otherwise good and descent people are actively looking forward to the murder of billions of people, after all that is what Armageddon will entail. If you truly believe this is a good thing, you are in luck. Al Qaeda and other militant fundamentalists throughout the world are actively pursuing this agenda.

The coming of Jesus certainly is good news to Christians, indeed the planet. War is still awful. Just like any suffering on earth, we KNOW that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. That is a measure of comfort for our impending joy, yet war is still hard to live with.

Personally, I am not afraid if this world as we know it will end in my time. What a thrill to be with Christ!
But I feel sorry for the people who aren't Christian :(

You know, you have a point. Though we would all go through a brutal time for years, in the end it would mean nothing compared to what awaits the faithful.

It is, But God says not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of it self when it comes, But he also says to be ready for his coming, no one knows the exact time he will return, so he says to be ready,at all times, not siting on the couch stoned on weed,or at the bar wasted pick-in up on someone....not saying you do that just giving examples, he wants us to be sober. and ready for His will.....
